Bistrot De Arts is housed in a historic building dating back to the 1800s. It would have originally been used to produce olive oil, using the 4 layers of the building to produce the oil, through sorting, crushing, pouring, until the oil was gathered in a large vat in the basement.
Our bistrot is on the ground floor with an historic cave below where the original sluice and vat can be found. The bistrot is renovated sympathetically to embrace the history, and offers you a relaxed, bohemian atmosphere with large modern-art canvasses completing the vibe.
We also offer one-day wine courses exploring the regional wines of Provence and Cotes de Rhone.
Our food embraces local produce, and is a fusion of French and British cuisine. We offer simple plates to accompany your drinks including 'Soup of the Day', club sandwiches, omlettes and salads.
Our wines are all from the local region covering Cotes de Rhone and Provence where there is an excellent variety of light and full bodied reds, crisp, mineral and floral whites, and delicate rose.
Bistrot Des Arts is also home to the small 'French Wine School' . We offer short courses in the wines of Provence and Cote de Rhone, and a one-day course in 'The Systematic Approach to Wine Tasting' which is ideal for beginners wanting to know more about wine. These one or two day courses are an ideal holiday activity. Wine tours can also be arranged through a partner.
